    The Rhetoric of Health and Medicine

    Examines the role of language, argument and persuasion in understandings of health (broadly defined). Topics include the role of rhetoric and writing in such topics as anti-vaccine publics, the medicalization of sex, pharmaceutical advertisements, contested illnesses and reproduction. No background in science or medicine is assumed.
